Pinewood Extreme is managed by Scouters. We have a passion for Scouting and believe in the principles of scouting and its benefits to the boys and the community. We believe in and will always follow the Scout Oath.

We care about the purpose behind the Pinewood Derby and what the intention of the event is meant to be – a mom or dad to work together with their son (or daughter in the case of family races) to build something together that encourages parent-to-child bonding and understanding.

From our personal experiences at the Pack level, we recognized that there are families that do not have the woodworking know-how, the tools or the experience that it takes to make a competitive pinewood derby car.

We will offer:

• “Rough-cut” car bodies that need to be finished off by the parent and son (sibling), never a completely sanded, ready to paint or complete race car, that would go against the principles of the activity.

• Different "Legal” modifications to the car body, wheels and axles.

• Different levels of modifications to the car bodies, wheels and axles that conform to different rules from around the country and we HIGHLY recommend that every customer check the rules for their Pack and/or district before making any purchase from us.

Our Commitment to our Customers:

• We will never intentionally supply a Scout with a non-BSA approved car part that could cause a disqualification on race day.

• We will always treat customers in a scouting manner. “A scout is honest”, “A scout is trustworthy”

• We will give guidance through our tips & tricks book for those who would have the means to build a car from scratch

We also recognize that there are other organizations around the county that utilize the BSA standard Pinewood Derby Car Kit and parts for their races and want to supply them with different options that will conform to their rules.
